reloading find/search function

During a virus attack some files necessary for the off-
line Search must have been deleted. The message says to
run set up again, but the CD is the version of XP that
came with the computer and won't have any of the
subsequent updates. Is there a way of downloading just
those files that relate to the Find/Search function?
