My computer crashed and now am having trouble re-installing my Canon
scanner. I have XP Home. I seem to have installed the driver as the
control panel icon says it is working fine. But I cannot seem to find
the scanner and cannot use it. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there.

Did you make the obvious mistake of having the scanner connected, while you
installed the Programs?

You will probably have to remove the Scanner Programs again, and re-install
them without having the Scanner connected. Once the Driver is in, you can
connect the Scanner, and Windows "Found New Hardware" Wizard should do its
stuff and get the Scanner working.

Dead simple these Computers, aren't they?
Why do THEY always find a stupid way to make us do these things.
