Hi,
I have an Laptop PC running Win XP (HE). Is there any capabality bundled
with Win XP and the application suite, that will enable me to record brief
samples (2-3 secs) of a music CD to my Hard Disk. If not does anyone have any
suggestions on how I can do this ...

many thanks,

Don-

Use Sound Recorder.

Make sure you select CD Audio as your input device.

Or download Audacity (free) and use that. Its more complicated than Sound
Recorder, but you can edit the file afterwards.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Cheers,
Jerry
