I have set up oulook 2002 and am sure that all the setting are OK. On the
test settings all is fine, emails stream in but the test email does not send.
It suggests checking the email address, which is fine. At one stage on
starting up outlook a dialogue box (DPMAP?) appeared with a port (Null) which
I could not change, a couple of other boxes which i also couldn't change and
a box for email address and password which i completed. Any suggestions please

Don't paraphrase but tell us the exact errors as you encounter them.
Your current info is much too vague to work with.
