For a few email providers, you can't. They don't obey requests to leave
a copy of the downloaded messages on the server.
For other providers, try this: Click on Tools, then Accounts, then your
email account, then Properties, then Advanced. If there is no check
mark in the box before Leave a copy of messages on server, click on
this box and then Apply. Click on OK and then Close.
Do the same on your other computer if it also runs Windows Mail, or
the equivalent if it runs some other email program. On at least one
of your computers, also enable one of the options for eventually
deleting the messages, to keep the server from having so many
messages for you that it refuses to accept more.
