Reading remote event logs

I'm looking for some additional third-party tools to help with reading event
logs on remote systems. I've written some Perl code that works ok on smaller
event logs and I've also tried using PsLogList from Sysinternals. Even
though I've had excellent success with most of Sysinternals utilities,
PsLogList seems to have problems with large remote AD event logs.

I'm trying to automate a process that looks at the last seven days of data
in the application event log for a particular Source on remote AD servers.
Can anybody recommend any utilities (preferably shareware)?
