Maybe Ed is as obsessive as you are about commenting,
even if it's irrelevant, off topic, or argumentative?

At least I know the product lines so I have something to say but to state "I really have
no knowledge of either product" and to make a comment....

It seemed to me to be a qualifier followed by your observation on
resource usage, but the subsequent comments that followed were just
attitude hardening gratuitous sarcasm from some ego heavy sorts. Now if
you can toughen up your system to match, you'll be fine.

Ed:

I mean no offense but you yourself indicated you knew nothing of the product and then you
commented on the retail version.
The discussion was on the Enterprise version on a server, not retail software on a home
PC.

It's attitudes like this that ruin this newsgroup. Clearly, he does
have experience of using the retail version of the product although
modesty forbids him from proclaiming himself to be the world's leading
expert in the field and this user experience is very relevant.

If part of the thread subsequently goes off on a tangent about the
differences between the retail version and the enterprise version then
so what? It happens on loads of threads and it's all on topic stuff
which is more than can be said about a lot of the stuff posted here.
It gets very boring reading about rot1 transforms after leythos has
explained it for the umpteenth time.

Jim.
