You have two problems. As Jane C said you need more RAM. You also have very
little free space on drive C:. I used to have the same laptop. It ran Vista
very well but I did have to add some RAM and do some tweaking. Upgrade the
RAM to 2 GB. Even if you have two 512MB DIMMs and have to replace them both
with 1GB DIMMs the boost in performance will be well worth it. Adjust the
partition sizes to give more room to the C: partition. FWIW that model was
designed when XP was still current. It will run Vista but I found it best to
wipe out the Acer installation and do a clean install with only one
partition. You would need a Vista DVD to do this. The drivers are available
on the Acer site. Once I did this and added the extra RAM Vista ran great.
