I'm tryin' real hard to figure out what you're talkin' about, but am having
no luck. This sounds like something I'd like to try, if only I knew what to
try.

USB port drivers.
Open Device Manager
Expand the USB controllers
Doubleclick the "Intel.........PCI to USB Universal Host Controller"
Select Driver
Select Update Driver
Next
Select Display List
Show all
And pick the "AB" one instead of the "BA" one.

Hope that helps

You either don't have an intel chipset or you haven't installed the Intel INF
update.

Any system with Intel chipset should download Intel® Chipset Software
Installation Utility from support.intel.com.

The advice from Bob I is ony for Intel 8XX chipsets.

Install the relevant drivers that came on the CD for
your motherboard or download it from the board
mgfr. site.
