Yes, I have upgraded to the latest BIOS version from Gateway, Disabling
either controller in device manager removes the conflict and then installs
the Floppy disk drive... until it is restarted and then it starts all over
again. No, there is not any PNP OS aware options. I believe that the
motherboards for these models is not Win2K compliant and Gateway won't admit
it.
