If you're trying to set your "Author" color to a specific color then this
can't be done. Word keeps track of the authors of the document and
automatically assigns each color to prevent duplication. Now, you can change
your User Name and see if the color you want is assigned to the new user but
that may not be the best method to use depending on the number of authors.

As an additional note, if you modify the Track Change options and change the
markup colors to a color other than "By Author" it will be in effect for
your computer only and not saved with the document. Others will see the
markup color based on their Track Change options.
