Your question doesn't seem to be related to the VB.NET programming language.
I suggest to post it to a more appropriate group, for example,
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.adonet.

The Wins database has in my opinion nothing to do with ADONET

Thank you. I thought that WINS is one of these lesser-known, very old, and
weird database management systems ;-))).
