I recently upgraded to Windows XP from Windows Millenium.
I also upgraded to Norton Antivirus 2004. I am finding
that when I connect to the internet with dialup on a v90
56 k modem, I get a slow connection no matter which ISP I
use and every now and then I get the page cannot be
displayed message.
I have tried various troubleshooting remedies without
success. I have tried the netshe command to restore my
TCIP settings to default. That didn't fix it. I tried
starting with a clean boot so that nothing is running in
the background. When I did that I got the page does not
display message on trying to connect to the Internet. It
actually made things worse.
Does anyone out there have any advice or perhaps has had a
similar problem?
