There is a post by David Shiflet on how to change the registry default of 5
seconds. Click on the Find button on the top bar and enter his name.
I control mine manually. When a picture comes on your screen, hit the Space
bar. The picture will stay on your screen until you hit the right arrow key
to bring the next picture, and the next and the next etc. (left arrow key to
go back in the slide show). If you want to go back to the 5 seconds default,
hit the Space bar again. You can change as many times as you want from the
default to manual control just by hitting the Space bar.
