Ok,
I just came back from the store. Oh yeah I just came from back store !
Yessss I just came back from store ! LOL.
Did I say "I just came back from the store" ?
Yes I said: "I just came back from the store !" LOL.
Well I went there only to look around. I don't plan to buy anything there
because I think their a bunch of assholes mostly, based on previous
experiences, but that's ok.
I had a gooooooooddd look around and here is what I saw:
1. The asus a8n32 sli motherboard.
2. Some BenQ LCD(?) or TFT(?) monitors and a Samtron CTR monitor.
3. The Logitech UltraX keyboard !
And here is what I thought about it:
1. The motherboard looks much smaller than on the pictures on the web

It
also looks less good but I guess that goes for most motherboards. But still
I think it's ok. I took a good look at the heat pipes etc and I don't think
they will be in the way. Also the PCI-E slots looked much smaller than on
the pictures. That means the graphics cards will probably also look much
smaller in real life
2. Then BenQ LCD or TFT monitors looked good. Except for one sample. It was
rrrrreallly bad looking... it was all blury etc.. I hope my LCD monitor will
last for a long time. There was also an old looking Samtron CTR monitor
which gave splendid images etc. It was bit smaller. Kinda sad to see such a
good monitor become unpopular but ok.
The main reason I am going for an LCD monitor is because it's LIGHTWEIGHT. I
don't want to carry a 21 inch monitor... That would be heaaaavyyy !.
I also want to give LCD monitors a try...
3. Finally, the biggest surprise was the UltraX logitech keyboard... I
didn't expect to see it... but they had it... and I could actually type on
it... when I first stood in front of it I didn't even recgonize it...
Yesterday when I wrote my listing... I had serious, serious, serious doubt
about this keyboard... I didn't think it looked to good and I was very
concerned about the typing quality.... But I was able to type in the
store... into the login screen name... so I typed many sentences... and it
would need some getting used to... but I didn't make too many typos... and I
was able to type pretty normally and fast... The big difference is that it
requires less energy of the fingers and it's also more quiet... So I was
enjoying typing on the keyboard quite a lot.... and I looks cool too. So
that was a big surprise... I also typed on classic keyboards and they sure
type heavy compared to the UltraX keyboard !

So I definetly want the
UltraX keyboard ! WOEH.
I also had a good night's sleep to think about it and to come over my little
dip... Because yesterday I was a little bit down because my design is now
pretty much done
I really do need a new PC. Simply because I want to run Delphi 2006
smoothly... and I want to compile C and C++ source codes/programs/libraries
etc... FASTER. All that stuff goes slow, slow, slow, slow on a PIII 450 mhz
at least !
Also... I want to enjoy the new Battlestar Galatica Series which will sair
on 6 january 2005 and will continue each week ofcourse. WOEH !
With my current computer I have to use DivX sometimes because media player
is too slow. And I simply fear the worst... with the new encodings and
stuff.
Finally I have set my current monitor's contrast to low... to make the
monitor last longer... It looks pretty crappy compared to the LCD's in the
store !!! wowowowow. And those LCD's in the store are probably even less
good.
I also saw a 27 inch TV/Plasma screen in the store.. Or something like that.
It absolutely looked like crap ! I am not sure if it was just crap or if the
TV was showing a compressed MPEG or something.... It probably was a very
very very very crappy TV

Don't buy that **** man wow. Unless you gonna
look from it from a huge distance HA-HA :P

.
Anyway.
I am going to work on my list a little bit more... and I am going to search
for some more suppliers, compare prices, etc, etc, etc.
I don't feel comfortable with ordering from a supplier who doesn't have the
product in stock.
I am especially worried about the graphics card and the harddisks... so I'll
have to search hard and long to find a good supplier.
Bye, Bye,
Skybuck.
