You should heed the advice given you about registry cleaners regardless
of the company providing them, Microsoft included. I haven't cleaned the
registry on any of my systems, which would be anywhere from one to four
years. They all run just fine and are just as fast as the day I bought them.
Two run XP, one runs XP Pro and this one is running Vista Ultimate x86.
On a previous system I would clean the registry quite frequently and
then discover I was facing a System Restore or clean reinstall issue. I
learned my lesson the hard way.
I feel the same way about registry defragmenters. Many people will
disagree with me on both issues, but then again, that's what freedom of
choice and freedom of expression are all about.
