Hi Brian

The registry data you are looking for is stored in the sub key HKCU \
Control Panel \ PowerCfg

Within this sub key, there is a value named CurrentPowerPolicy which has a
type of REG_SZ and a number. This number is associated with a policy stored
under the above sub key and beneath PowerPolicies. Changing the number
stored in CurrentPowerPolicy will change the policy in use, however this
will only take place at the next reboot or login.
