An Outlook 2007 PST file is compatible with Outlook 2003 and contains all of
your data (email, contacts, etc.).
If you have saved your Word, Excel, etc. files in the old format and not the
zip format you can open them. I do that back and forth all the time. If they
are in the new formats you would be able to view them with the viewers but
not work on them.
