According to Microsoft:

"MVPs are individuals recognized and awarded by Microsoft for sharing their
advice and technical assistance to others in Microsoft peer-to-peer online
areas. These individuals represent a wide variety of backgrounds and
professions, but they share the basic characteristics of having very strong
technical skills in one or more Microsoft products or technology areas and
the willingness to share that knowledge with others. MVPs are awarded for
their past contributions to one or more online communities. They are
recognized by their peers and by Microsoft Support Engineers and Team
Managers who look for consistent and accurate technical answers posted in
response to customer questions and comments."

I know it can be frustrating not getting the answers that you need. Most of
the answers that I see posted are valid answers to a problem in most cases.
But there will always be unique situations that are new to all of us. Some
of these issues may arise from a conflict with another software application
that the user has installed or from some other variable unique to the users'
environment. Some of these problems are not easily solved and if reported
often enough may warrant an investigation by MS for further study.

The individuals responding to the questions (MVPs and others like myself) do
so on their own time and do not get paid for the service. Sometimes I find
myself bored and I enjoy reading through these newsgroups, answering
questions I feel comfortable answering. Other times I am extremely busy
with other things and I may not have a chance to come back to the newsgroup
for several weeks. At that point it would be impractical to read all the
posts that I have missed, and I am sure that if someone were waiting on a
reply from me, they would have given up by then anyway.

To increase your chance of getting a helpful reply, the more information
that you provide the better. As a minimum you should always include version
information for the product(s) you are asking questions about.

Also, if you do not get a satisfactory answer in a few days, try posting the
question again in a new thread. It will certainly be seen by new people.
If you are unable to wait for an answer, you can always try Microsoft
customer support or
http://www.keen.com/categories/categ...sp?category=64. I would also
personally recommend Google, and be sure to check results in both the Web
and Group results sections.

Hope this helps...

After looking through the posting here I find that most of the replies
by these MVP's are the simplest to answer. I also see that the
questions that everyone needs answers to are not being addressed. And
it looks like these MVP's go through and pick out the easiest to
answer. If your an MVP put some effort into the really hard
questions, don't take the easiest to answer or send them to some link
to answer their question apply that knewledge your support to have.

Obiously, if the same question keeps coming up over and over, maybe
that would be a good one to address.
