What will Microsoft do with the error report sent?

The error report goes into a big database that helps them determine what
issues have priority.

What it does for you is give you immediate feedback about your problem. If
the issue matches other info in the database that includes a fix, it points
you to the fix. I've been pleasantly surprised on the occassions when the
pointer to the fix really resolved my issue.

You can't win by not submitting it. And you might just get help finding and
resolving the issue.

It's not intuitive - it gives you a little link after submittal - I think
says 'Details' or something - press the links you get and explore a bit the
next time you submit one.
