Well slowly the lights go on. The only marble+ drivers are serial;

Deleted PS/2 mouse in device manager. reboot with trackman marble+ now
sporting a serial port adapter and nestled into serial port/com1.
Look in device manager. mouse listing now says logitech marble+ on
serial port. "properties" comes up with the "logitech data"
properties instead of the microsoft PS/2 compatible mouse properties
with all the conflicting settings, bells, and whistles.
Ah.. civilization returns to mouse technology. Mouse wheel seems more
stable. Wouldn't be surprised, all that "assume wheel always present"
stuff sounded pretty screwball.
PS do they let you "MVP" guys talk about Logitech mice ?
