Hi,

If it was originally E:\, then you can follow the procedure here (written
for Win2000, but the same steps apply to WinXP) to reverse it:

HOW TO: Change the System/Boot Drive Letter in Windows [Q223188]

Otherwise, you should never attempt to change the drive letter assigned to
the system partition.
