Suggestions:

1. Check with Dell about how to create recovery discs from the image. If
possible, do so. Then you can combine partitions if you want.

2. Purchase an imaging program (I prefer Acronis True Image) and image your
operating system (C. Store the image either on your second hard drive or
an external hard drive. Then you can combine partitions on the main
computer if you want.

You can also use a free program like Allwaysync, it does an image
backup but the free version will not do incremental ones.
