If you bung a torrent file into a torrent client, then without even
downloading anything it "reserves" on your disc the total space that the
download will take when complete. I'd imagine that's what's happened here.
For details of how it sets aside that disk space when the files aren't thre
yet, you could ask on or search a torrent forum or even Google it.
