Hi Adrian,

Thank you for using Microsoft Managed Newsgroup Service, I'm Zhi-Xin Ye,
it's my pleasure to work with you on this issue.

The region you mentioned in the "Data Update Script" window is a readonly
region in the Visual Studio text editor. Its default background color is
grey, you can change the background color for this text editor region by
taking the following steps:

1. In the Visual Studio 2008 IDE, click "Tools" item on the menu;
2. Select "Options..." to open the Options dialog;
3. On the Options dialog, expand the "Environment" node on the left panel;
4. Select "Fonts and Colors" item;
5. Select "Read-Only Region" option from the "Display items" list on the
right panel;
6. Choose a color from the "Item background" list, for example, black;
7. Click "OK" button;

If anything is unclear or you have any concerns, please feel free to let me
know, I will be happy of assistance. Have a great day!

Best Regards,
Zhi-Xin Ye

Note: MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 2 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions. Issues of this
nature are best handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer
by contacting Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) at
