There's not enough information to really answer you.
1. Which Pocket PC device are you using?
2. Which version of the Compact Framework are you deploying?
3. Which project template did you select in Visual Studio?
4. How are you deploying the application to the device?
5. At what point are you receiving the error?
6. Have you been able to deploy a simple "Hello, World"-style Compact
Framework application to the device through Visual Studio?
