range of recurrence

We are using Outlook 2000. When setting a recurring
appointment with no end date. It looks as if the
appointment is only scheduled for 2 years. How long is
the range of recurrence appointments? If it should
continue to roll onto the next year, is there something
that could be wrong with Outlook? thanks Frieda
