Edit the boot.ini file and remove the reference line for Windows XP.
The boot.ini file is a hidden file, unhide it via Folder Options or
simply enter boot.ini at a command prompt or in the Start Menu | Run
box and Notepad will open it for editing.
Typically the file would look like this for a standard pc with Windows
2000 installed on the first partition of the first hard disk:
============================================================
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows 2000 Server" /fastdetect
=============================================================
