The Windows 2000 system drive has very less disk storage space now and find
that there are many hidden $NTuninstall* files occupying a lot of disk
space. Someone told me that can delete them directly.

Is it safe to do it? How about the status of Add/Remove program in control
panel? It shows many hotfix for removal there and what should do for it?

If the fix is applied and your computer works fine and you see no reason to
uninstall the fixes you an safely delete them.

This will uninstall them. They work fine so you don't want to uninstall
them. Since you don't want to uninstall them you won't need the uninstall
files.

These folders contain backed up files of ur updates so that u can uninstall
them if u need to u can remove them by deleting them manually no probs but u
cant uninstall the update anymore. so if u want to remove just remove the
folders of very old updates. and not new ones.
