|I have had a 1280 with this problem.
| I strongly advise you not replace the print head. If you want to stay
with
| the 1280 it is still, but probably not for long, available for new and I
| would get one right now.
| Before you do look into the Espon R1800: if you like the color of the 1280
| you will be surprised thay you may prefer the 1800 palette.
| My experience was that the blue lines actually come and go randomly but
| increase in frequency and density as the print head fails further. As the
| print head is failing they tend to occur at the beginning, clear in the
| middle and recur at the end, possibly reflecting differential speeds of
the
| print head moving across the paper and the flow of ink through the print
| head.

Bmoag,
I read somewhere that the cyan line problem may not occur if I let the
printer do its own colour management. This is not an option I would like
to use. As for buying another one I'm reluctant to spend £250 on a product
which might soon exhibit the same problem
