Hi,
First of all I would like to appologise for the long post - but hard to put
my queries in a smaller message. I am sorry if I cross-posted in error - not
sure
what group this really belong in.
1. Windows 2003 QOS configuration where?
I am trying to figure out where to configure the Windows 2003 Quality of
Service settings. I have looked everywhere
and have not had much luck.
2. Application support for QOS.
Does the application itself have to support QOS - in other words be
specifically written. Or can I say something like:
Netbios ports 138/139 - use 5% network bandwidth.
FTP port 21 - uses 10% of network bandwidth.
3. Network equipment support fo QOS.
Does my router and network cards themselves need to support QOS or Windows
2003 / XP support this in there network
drives. Please elaborate.
4. Any suggested articles on this.
I can find very little on configuration / Operation in Windows server 2003.
5. DFS/FRS.
Does anybody know if this traffic in particular can be put across QOS.
(Naturally this depends on your anwers to
previous questions
Thanks for your help,
Ward.
