It seems your two accounts point to the same profile
folder called "owner", although (according to your
initial post) you use different names when logging
on. You are like Siamese twins! Here is how you
can resume your individual identities:
1. Create two new accounts, e.g. Husband, Wife.
2. Log on once under each of these accounts.
3. Reboot the machine.
4. Log on under "Administrator".
5. Control Panel / System / User Profiles
6. Select "Owner", then click "Copy".
7. When prompted for a destination, select
c:\documents and settings\husband.
8. Repeat Step7 for c:\documents and settings\wife.
You will now have individual profiles based on your
previously shared profile.
