I lost the cd case to my Office 2000 CD's. Now I need to
install the software, but can not because I do not have
the proper certificate of authenticity. What do I do?

The CD key is available from Microsoft if you bought Office 2000 at a
retail store, it's available from the computer manufacturer if it's an
OEM copy.

Call Microsoft if it's a retail copy, call the PC manufacturer if not.
Either way they'll ask for proof that it's a legal copy and then give
you the key.
