I am on a new build of Vista, public release, business version. Windows
activation was successful and confirme in the computer properties.

When trying to use the microsoft online support chat system, the interface
will not pick up my PID. when I enter it manually it responds with an not
valid or not correct format. i've closed the window, double checked and
reentered it 3 times, no luck.

is this why the chat wait time is zero?

i need product support for vista, any ideas how to get this to work?
without using my credit card which definately works.

My problem is it tells me my PID is not valid for the country I chose.
Microsoft support is LAME and rude and their VOIP really is pathetic.

I have been told I have a pirated copy. I have been told I have an OEM
copy. I have been told I need a new disk because mine is damaged. No one
wants to even entertain the though that Microsoft is broken (their
website and PID database).

No one is helping and forget about escalation as there is non. I have
run the WGA tool and my Windows is authentic however that tool gives me
a different PID (which also does not work on the chat web)

Someone at MS must have a clue as to what is happening.

Ive had this same problem

Support says to contact the Customer Service people, and they will help you.
