Problems to Open excel files - Excel version 2007

I'm getting the following message error when I try to open an excel file.

Execel cannot complete this taks with available resources. Choose less data
or close other. Insufficient memory to create the bitmap.

The computer has the following configuration:

Processor: 3Ghz
Ram: 4Gb
HDD: 120Gb
