I am trying to run the new connection wizard to create a vpn connection on a pc having WinXP .The problem is that when I select "Connect to the network at my workplace" & press next, both Dial up connection and Virtual Private Network connection" are grayed out. I've tried making a repair of windows but nothing has changed.

Does anyone know from where if it's possible to install the vpn component again?

Thanks

Kevin

The link only explains how to create a vpn connection, but unfortanetly that's not what my problem is. My problem is when trying to select either from dial-up or vpn, both options are like disabled as seen in the attached file.

Hi! I have two Dell Desktops (OLD and NEW) connected with a network cable. I want to use XP Files Transfer WIzard. The OLD PC can map to the new PC but the NEW pc cannot map to the OLD. This is causing a problem. I have shared the C drive on the OLD computer to everyone. There are no firewalls running on the old pc. I am using a bidirectional netork cable. Why cant I map to the OLD computer from the new one, but I can do the reverse? Dave
