Hi,
I have about 6 gig of email in about 10 PST's on my XP laptop. And outlook
set up to pickup form about 10 email accounts and lots of rules to move
emails to the proper folders.

I just purchased a new laptop. Both compuetrs are runnign Outlook 2003. I
have tired differnt methods of moving the info from one computer to the
other, but I cnanot get the rules or email account info to move. I have
tried importing the outlook.pst, I have tried moving the outlok pst form one
compuyer to the other - but no luck.

Is there some way to move over everything in my outlook from one machine tot
he other?
Thanks
Ted

Hi Ted,

"How to manage .pst files in Outlook 2002 and in Outlook 2003"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287070

To back up Outlook Rules Wizard rules
http://www.slipstick.com/rules/backup.htm

Outlook & Exchange/Windows Messaging Backup and Dual-Boot:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm

Maybe it helps.

The Save My Settings wizard will allow you to move your accounts. (It can
also me modified to move your PSTs, but it won't by default.) See
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/826809/en-us .

As for moving the PSTs, see
http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm .

The rules are contained in your delivery locaiton PST, so they should
transfer with that PST if you transfer correctly. Otherwise, the RuUles
WIzard's export/import function will help.
