You have two ways to do this.
1. Transfer your OE files from W98 to OE on Windows XP. See here
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/backup/ on how to do that. Then, in OE on
Windows XP, export to Outlook.
2. In Win 98, export from OE to Outlook as you have done. Copy the pst
file that is created in outlook to the Windows XP machine. Do NOT
overwrite the existing pst file.
Then open Outlook, and go to File-Open-Outlook Data File and navigate to
where you copied it to. (You may have to remove the Read-Only attribute
if, for example, you copied it using a CDR). then just grag the data inot
the new personal folders from the old.
