During installation of Winxp 64 bit I receive the following error:

file ntfs.sys caused an unexpected error (4096) at line 5602 in
d:\srvrtm\base\boot\setup\setup.c

Any idea?

- Clean installation of WIndows XP Professional x64?

- Checked the functionality (wellness) of your system memory?
- CD drive?
- CD you are using to install with?
- Hard Disk Drive in the system?

My best guess is bad media (scratched, damaged, etc.) It could very well be
anything else I listed, however. You'd have to test each of those
components if you are fairly certain the CD is undamaged. If you have a
machine with a really high-quality CD/DVD writing drive and you can use that
to make a new copy of your CD - try that.
