Thanks for your post. I'm sorry for the trouble you're experiencing. There
are some changes in Vista over XP around sharing and access for a more secure
system (by default). The below TechNet article explains these improvements,
and shows you how to change settings to allow for device access and file
sharing. Please review these and follow the steps and let us know if this
doesn't work for you:
