A printer using a Jet Direct 600N Internal Print Server uses a Standard
TCP/IP Port on my local network and does not show up in the local network or
the entire XP Microsoft Windows Network. It's not in the Workgroup because I
could not find anywhere to add it. It can only be accessed by IP address. How
can it be made visible? Firewall does not seem to be the cause.

Hi
In most cases you need to load the printer, software on one computer in
order to configure it through the Network, and install the drivers on all
other network computer.
You can configure your workgroup name by running the network setup wizard.

Workgroup name was already established for all computers. I do not know how
to add it to the Jet Direct. Software was already installed and drivers were
already installed on all network PC's. This printer does not show up in
network. You could probably use it as a share from one of the PC's in which
case that PC would always have to be on, which defeats the purpose of a print
server. Note that setting up the required new Standard TCP/IP port starts
with chosing a local rather than network printer.
