was added or updated.hi out there
We have a weird problem with many of our Windows 2000 sp4 servers where we
have multiple serveres which is using a single server as print-server. In the
eventlog on the other serveres this evenid is showing up every time that we
either look at the properties or use the printer on these servers - ex:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Print
Event Category: None
Event ID: 20
Date: 03.04.2006
Time: 11:25:44
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: AP33011
Description:
Printer Driver HP LaserJet 4000 Series PCL 5e for Windows NT x86 Version-3
was added or updated. Files:- HPBF221G.DLL, HPBF221E.DLL, HPBF221I.PMD,
HPBF221I.HLP, HPBF221F.DLL, HPBF221H.DLL, HPBF221I.DLL, HPBF221J.DLL,
HPBF221K.DLL, HPBAFD32.DLL, HPBFTM32.DLL, HPDCMON.DLL.
This should be a pretty simple and straigtforward problem but as far as I
can see the drivers ARE added and installed on this local server - but will
anyway be updated all the time. This is consuming a lot of bandwith each time
one is quering this printer and is a general just waste of performance,
bandwith and cpu-time. What can be done to resolve this problem?
best regards /ti
