How To: Print a list of objects / permissions for a Group

Hi Folks - looking back at an old database app and I need to produce a list
of Tables, Forms and Queries with the permissions on each for a specific
Group.

I can grab them by hand (though there is in excess of 1k objects) but that
would be laborious.

Any suggestions on the simplest way to create a report with these details -
perhaps using a query?

Appreciate any feedback on this one.

Cheers

Tools>Analyze>Documenter

Do not forget to set the Options... as you need for your situation.

That's not quite what I'm looking for Daniel. My forms alone generate 2993
pages of reports in the documenter - and the Group information is not really
specific.

What I need is a report listing Forms (and other objects) together with the
Permissions held by each Group (on the object).- in a cross tab format I
guess.

Any further ideas on it?

It might not be everything you're looking for, but my CSD Tools Add-in might assist with this. One
of its many functions is to help document permissions and groups. You can find the free add-in on
this page of my site:

Hope you find it useful,

Excellent, I'm very glad to hear you found my add-in useful for your
project. A lot less pages than the Documenter don't you think. <g>

You're now bound to the terms of use - welcome to the Access Junkie club.
