Hi experts!

We're looking for a program to optimize PPTs. Which is better PPTools
or NXPLite? Any recomendations or warnings?

Thanks!
Rene

Each will probably give different results with the particular mix of stuff
in a given presentation. Since they both have free demos available,
download 'em, try 'em out on the type of presentation you typically work
with (or the ones that typically cause you problems because of size).

If the results seem odd, email the developers to ask why. I'm fairly sure
the NXP folks are responsive to this kind of request and I can personally
guarantee that the PPTools Optimizer guy will be, for I am he. ;-)

Hello Rene,

Currently, PowerPoint 2002 and PowerPoint 2003 provide an image
optimization feature (choose "Compress Picture" from the Picture toolbar),
but other kinds of optimizations (including lossy conversion of OLE
objects, removal of hidden objects, etc.) are not provided through it's
user interface (and even which content might be a candidate for
optimization can be difficult).

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide better content management tools for finding, changing, replacing,
deleting, OPTIMIZING, etc. linked, embedded, and native content (without
have to resort to VBA or 3rd party add-ins), don't forget to send your
feedback to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also why it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
