The PPPOE problems is one of the Best reason to buy a Cable/DSL Router (even
if you have one computer), and let the Router take care of the PPPOE (it
actually keeps the connection alive in hardware). Even the DSL's ISPs got
tired of the PPPOE software that they provide, and many of them give now,
for the same charge, a free Modem/Router combo.
