How do you start a play list of presentations in Viewer 2003? I had viewer 97 and it required me to type a play list in note pad and I could execute it from the view to run sequential presentations. 2003 does not appear to be capable of doing this

You have to do it from the command line. Go to Start > Run and type
...\path\pptview.exe /L playlist.txt. You'll have to fill in the appropriate
path. On my system it would be C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office
2003\OFFICE11\PPTVIEW.EXE

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint Viewer 2003 only supports opening a playlist through a command
line. For this and other command line options for the viewer, check out the
following KB article:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=830040

If it is important to you (or anyone else reading this message) that the
PowerPoint Viewer provide additional playlist options, don't forget to send
your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
