I am conducting a presentation with a primary and secondary monitor on the
PC. The slideshow is on the secondary monitor. What options do I need to set
in PowerPoint so that the current slide in the slideshow is the one being
shown in the primary PP window? That is:

1. When I start the slideshow, slide 1 is shown in both the slideshow and
the primary window.
2. When I page forward, the next slide is shown in both the slideshow and
the primary window.
3. When I page backward, the previous slide is shown in both the slideshow
and the primary window.

What happens now is that the slideshow pages forward and backward but the
Powerpoint primary window never changes. I have seen some presentations where
this happens but have not been able to figure out the proper setting.

That would be a nifty trick to see. I don't know of any way to show a
slideshow as 2 slides at a time, but how to do it in edit mode is described
here:

Hi Glenna, I believe I didn't state my question properly. I am not trying to
edit two different PPTs or show two slides at a time. I am using the dual
monitor function so I can show the slideshow on the secondary screen (a
projector in this case) and PPT in edit mode on the primary monitor. What I
would like to happen is when I page down/up the slideshow (to move to the
next/previous slide) the slide in edit mode also changes so that they are the
same.

I have seen this happen on some presentations and not on others. I have
checked within the different presentations but can't figure out what option
causes this to happen.

I hope I have explained it better this time.
