It's a term bandied about in certain companies - it's
just what some people call a presentation or collection
of PowerPoint slides.

Instead of using the term 'presentation' (which is
sometimes reserved for someone standing up actually
talking with the slides), these people have to come up
with one more piece of jargon. Don't let it confuse you -
it's just a powerpoint slide show.

Nah, a "slide deck" or a "powerpoint deck" just means a presentation file or
a series of presentations, even. It's just another word for a bunch of
slides.

In many businesses a 'deck' is an unbound printout of the presentation given
to all participants; the presentation is then given by everyone turning the
page on the instruction of the moderator and looking at it as he/she speaks.

It's cheap. it's cheerful, and it's just about the quickest way to kill a
presentation stone dead that I know of. Much used by New York ad agencies in
the 80s and hopefully now obsolete!
