Powerpoint 2007 text dim before animation

I recently got a powerpoint with a professionally designed theme in
which whatever text is in the main content box on the slide is dim
before the Entrance animation is applied. So, when the slide is
displayed during the show, the text is already there, just dark. I
want to remove this effect on the master slide and cannot find the
setting to do so.

Any help is appreciated.

thanks,
mb
