I'm still running a NT4 domain with a mixture of 98/2000/XP client PCs. I
used to take advantage of administrative shares to backup some of the PCs.
Since I installed XP/sp2 I couldn't access the PCs at all -- some of them
still showed up in "My Network Places" but double-clicking on it would give
you "can't find the network path" error when it timed out. Some of the XP PCs
wouldn't show up in "My Network Places" at all.

Does anyone have the similar problems? Is this issue already discussed
somewhere? Please advice. Thank you very much!

It's possibly an issue with the XP Firewall which is turned on by default in
SP2.

However, you really should post this question to the windowsxp.network_web
newsgroup.
